It was raining this morning...a soft, cool rain. The type of morning, perfect for enjoying fresh baked madeleines and French press coffee on the front porch.
I followed this madeleine recipe- it has the perfect combination of a crunchy outside and a soft, spongy inside.
...plus French Press coffee brewed for one...
So, maybe I wasn't in a Paris cafe...but, for a moment...when I was listening to Edith Piaf singing "La Vie En Rose"... I took a sip, closed my eyes, leaned back in my bistro chair...and I was there.
And it was wonderful : )
Give me rain...any day...
